This great little article from Forbes is designed to address some of the modern perils of leadership and gives a bit of direct coaching to the ‘millennial workforce’ it’s aimed at.

The author talks about the basics of leadership many of us will be familiar with – such as a leader’s need to provide a compelling vision and making it safe for people to speak freely. However, there are also some newer concepts in here about ‘leading without title’ and ‘self- leadership’.

It finishes with a timely reminder that people are an organisation’s, and a leader’s, best asset.

  1. I can relate to this article; in particular the fact that millennials do not see their careers staying in one place for 20+ years. Within the NHS I still think we need to appreciate this, and look at what people who have worked in a variety of places can offer an organisation.
