“Great talent often doesn’t look and think like you”

In a plea to move away from “sameness”, Jorge Barba @JorgeBarba states the case for recruiting mavericks and weirdos to challenge the status quo. Surely this must be the ultimate validation for health and care change activists who may feel the need to surpress their ‘edge’ in order to conform?

Of course, it is human nature to migrate towards comfort and predictability, but we must be on guard for the signs of “comfortablenes” so that we don’t lose the prevcious mix of disruption, dissent and diversity that gives life to the most relevant and creative ideas.
