A great illustration of the power of social movements but also the importance of tapping into a subject that people feel passionately about.

The video and blog highlight the uplifting tale from the Czech Republic of a remarkably successful social movement to renovate a football stadium. Without any real organisation or structure a large group of volunteers renovate a heavily dilapidated stadium to a point at which it can once more host a large event.

While the NHS may not have the same fanatical following enjoyed by football teams it is considered a national treasure and as such does have its passionate supporters. This story goes to show how if we can tap into this passion we can achieve great things together.
