#SolvingTogether

As you know our new #SolvingTogether socials platforms are up and running and gaining momentum, so please do make sure you are following on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Linkedin to be in the know with the latest updates and fascinating insights from our community.

#SolvingTogether is an approach to capture, assess and test learning and ideas that can support the priorities for health and care. The ideas come from people like you, the people who know the most, those delivering care, receiving care and leading our services.

The tweet below shows some Inspiring words from National Improvement Director Tim Ferris “I want everyone in the NHS to point to some change… and say I contributed to that”. Well you heard it here first folks, if this is not a call to action, I don’t know what is!

This epic quote was taken from the latest Agents Assemble Podcast episode all about Solving Together. Check out the full Episode here.

My time at Horizons has heavily been involved with Solving Together and the most recent challenge on the platform involved crowdsourcing for elective care recovery. This incredible movement saw more than 8,000 people join in the conversation generating 392 ideas from 100,000 interactions. 🤯 I know this blew my mind too!

Your ideas have contributed to the 3 big ideas that are currently being prototyped and tested, truly giving co-production new meaning! A true sentiment to the power we collectively hold to make changes in the care we deliver. You can read more by clicking here.

Horizons Highlights

We can always rely on Helen Bevan to deliver the content, us QI enthusiasts just can’t get enough!

The below tweet explains the importance of having a growth mindset when implementing or encouraging change and moving away from fixed thinking. We need to re-think, learn and grow and constantly practise this philosophy. Really interesting read and you can read more by clicking here.

Top picks from the world of improvements

The past week saw the first NHS-VMI six part series tweet chat kick off in style! An incredible 386 participants joined the twitter space and let me tell you the atmosphere was electric, so much learning shared, 1.5k tweets to be exact!

Do not worry if you missed it, you can tune in on the last Tuesday of every month for the next 5 months 7pm-8pm – Cant wait to connect with you already.

If your intrigued to hear more, you can read the full tweet chat report from the first live tweet chat back in October by clicking here. The tweet chat report for last week will be released shortly readers.

This tweet chat focused on building cultural readiness as a foundation for better outcomes and you can read more about this as Dr Nicola Burgess has written a blog specific to each focused tweet chat topic! We are definitely getting spoilt!

Helen also joined this magnificent tweet chat and obviously brought her armoury of infographics. I just loved this one and had to share! The difference of driving change vs growing change in building cultural readiness. Very much as Helen has sated, if we want large scale sustainable change, we need to grow it not drive it.

The concept of growing change links in perfectly to this tweet shared by @enhtqi about out shared purpose. Is there a better way in which to grow change than getting your people together, finding your shared purpose and taking steps from there to improve your business. Love this model, such a great conversation starter! 😁

Another date for your diaries readers, 8th February 7:30pm where the leadership log are hosting a Tweet Chat all about coaching and leadership, remember to hashtag #LeadershipConnect as you tweet away!

Don’t you just love this social way of sharing and learning?!

And finally…

As we embark on a fresh week, I wish you all a happy and prosperous week ahead, remember to breathe and let that feeling flow throughout.

Thank you for reading this edition of Socials of the Week, my last edition. 😨 Each and everyone of you have inspired me in my improvement journey and I love finding your tweets that reflect your learning and lightbulb moments when it comes to all things QI.
